Greenlit: Food and Drink, BBC2

Food and Drink (6 x 30′) – A revival of a show that first graced UK television screens in the 1980s. This much loved and iconic series makes a comeback with world renowned chef Michel Roux Jnr at the helm.  The Roux Family is synonymous with exquisite cooking and Michel is the ideal host for the series, which he remembers fondly from his childhood.

Each episode features mouth-watering recipes cooked by Michel and a stellar cast from the world of food and drink who will join him in the kitchen. Food And Drink will play host to the latest debates and discussions from the world of gastronomy, and will showcase the hottest food trends – delivering up-to-date news, views and consumer issues. The series will be vibrant and relevant, providing a fascinating look at what, how and why we eat and drink today.

Looking at current trends from nostalgic classics to baking and comfort food, the programme will highlight British food as well as recipes from around the world. Michel and his guests will reveal personal insights, guilty pleasures, consuming passions and desert island must-haves, as they cook their favourite dishes and pair them with delicious drink ideas.
