Papergirl is an art project that takes place annually in Berlin. On a given day a number of ‘papergirls and paperboys’ gather on bicycles. They then ride around the city distributing rolls of art works to random strangers. Each roll contains 10-15 different pieces and each roll is a unique combination of prints, drawings or photographs. The aim is to engage people with art when they are least expecting it. Two weeks before the distribution all the artworks are displayed in a two-week long exhibition where they can all be viewed together.
