Alexander von Humboldt and the Botanical Exploration of the Americas

A new book has been published to mark the 150th anniversary of Baron Alexander von Humboldt’s death. Humboldt was the founder of bio-geography and explained the aurora borealis as well as leading an important botanical expedition to Spain’s American colonies. He recorded all his findings with beautiful illustrations, which are reproduced in the book, Alexander von Humboldt and the Botanical Exploration of the Americas.
