Greenlit: Harry’s Mountain Heroes, ITV1

Harry’s Mountain Heroes w/t (1 x 90′) – A documentary that charts an inspirational and heart-stopping adventure, launched by Prince Harry, in which a team of wounded servicemen take on the world’s toughest mountain, Everest. A five-strong team of wounded servicemen face the altitude, extreme climate and sheer physical hard work of summiting the world’s highest mountain.

The documentary also covers Prince Harry’s role as Patron of Walking With The Wounded, the charity organising the expedition, as he spearheaded the launch of the Everest expedition. He also joined the team in the days prior to their departure for Nepal, as well as following their fortunes during their ten week journey.

The five-strong team hoping to stand on top of the world were soldiers on active service in Afghanistan or Iraq when they suffered debilitating life changing injuries, including the loss of limbs. All face the unknown, both in their attempt to summit Everest and in their journey of on-going rehabilitation and re-integration into civilian life post injury.
