Brian Lando has been promoted to Senior Vice President Development, Scripps Networks. In his new position, Brian will be based in Los Angeles where he will continue to develop and oversee programming for Food Network & Cooking Channel, while expanding his development oversight to also include HGTV and Travel Channel. Lando will continue to oversee many of Food Network’s high-profile tentpole programs, reporting to Bob Tuschman.
Since joining the network in 2006, Lando served as Director and later, Vice President of Programming for Food Network. He has been at the helm of several break-out primetime hits including Best Thing I Ever Ate, Cupcake Wars, The Great Food Truck Race, Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off and Restaurant: Impossible, and has propelled franchises like Next Iron Chef and Food Network Star to record-breaking heights.
Lando also worked in programming and development for Endemol USA/Tom Forman Productions and on several production projects for CBS, E! Entertainment, NBC and Nickelodeon. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, Newhouse School with a BA in Television, Radio and Film.
