Fantastic Factology for the London 2012 Olympics

Fantastic Factology has been gathering facts from the public about “surprising things in life” – the best will be engraved onto plaques sited on benches around the 2012 London Olympic site, which will (hopefully) be visited by “generations of future visitors”.  You can see some of the facts on the Fantastic Factology website. It seems the facts featured have little if anything to do with the actual Olympic site, for example:  “Antarctica is the only continent where no butterflies or moths have been found”. It might be more interesting if this fact could be related to the site in some way eg. “… but  xx species of moths and butterflies live right here in the Olympic park), otherwise you might as well open an encyclopaedia and save yourself the trek to East London.
