Exporting Harlem Children’s Zone

In the early 1990s Geoffrey Canada started a social experiment in the impoverished neighbourhood of Harlem, NYC. The aim was to see if it was possible to ensure that every child living on a single block could succeed by changing their housing situation, exposure to violence, health and education. Today the experiment has been  hailed a success and extends to 97 blocks. The question is: can other areas benefit from a similar programme? Read more in Good.
