Spillway has an interesting article that goes back to the dawn of the 1980s to see how we imagined 2010 would look. Will Wiles found an old copy of the Observer Magazine, which attempted to predict the future (and our present). He uploaded photos of the magazine to Flickr. Among other things, it was predicted that part of Waterloo Station, London would be turned into a “Museum of Suburban Life” and that Bankside Power station would be reborn as the “Thatcher Museum of Commerce”.
