Tony Morgan has created a video surveillance ‘game’ that lives in the real world. Shopkeepers in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England can pay £20 a week to have CCTV cameran installed on their premises. The cameras are hooked up to the Internet Eyes website where people are encouraged to watch for wrongdoing, with the lure of a cash prize of £1000 for the person who catches the vandals, shoplifters and hooligans red-handed and reports them via SMS text to the anonymous owner of the video feed. To encourage users there is a league table, forum, and Caught on Camera feature.
