Bronx Art

Bronx School for the Arts looks like a 21st century version of Fame – it was founded by a group of parents, teachers and residents who recognized the need for quality education in the South Bronx, and opened to 162 pupils  in 2003. The teachers believe that the arts are integral to academic learning, so as well as studying individual arts subjects, art is integrated into maths, literacy and science lessons. Students get the opportunity to learn from world class artists and art institutions.
