Brooklyn based furniture designer Tracy Steele has been inspired to produce a new range of furniture after watching TLC’s Little People, Big World, which features the Roloff family. Parents Matt and Amy and one of their twin sons, Zach have dwarfism. Watching the family go about their lives, Tracy realised that there was no furniture, aside from that aimed at children, for people of short stature. Her specially designed range (with normal seat height but shorter seat depth) includes eight chairs and stools designed to fit in with normal sized traditional or contemporary furniture.
The range is being unveiled a the Little People of America Conference in Brooklyn on 6th July 2009.
