    NY Magazine recently published an article about Michelle Obama being an American icon and Jonathan Meades has written an essay about the rising use of the word ‘iconic’ in Intelligent Life Magazine. Is there a Helvetica style documentary about the meaning of the word for BBC2/4? or if you prefer something more populist, a top ten of iconic….people / architecture / photos etc?
