  1. Do you ever do House Crashers in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Texas area? If so, how would one go about applying for the challenge?

  2. Hi Sandra
This is the first season of House Crashers, so DIY Network will probably be waiting to see how the series does before commissioning a second series; however if you want to express you interest and suggest your area, you could contact The Idea Factory who are the producers of the show.

  8. I have a home in the famous ARCADIA AREA OF PHOENIX-SOUTH SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, which is one of the hottest cultural & shopping areas of the greater southwest!

Help…my 1950’s, craftsman,1800 square foot, 3 bedroom home is in a cul-de-sac and blends in with the neighbors so much that you hardly see it!

Inside, all is painted white. Outside, all is painted grey.

Outside, there are 2 young trees on NW side and one gardenia bush by front door – that’s it!

The home is solid and well cared for and was updated in the 1980’s. IT’S BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR 40 YEARS!

Let me know if you are interested in “CRASHING THIS HOUSE”!

I would really like to eat together at some point! So when thinking how great Yard Crashers are and what they could do to my 10 acres, I would love to see what House Crashers could do to bring my family closer together. So if your up to the challenge lets see what you can do!!! If your coming to Michigan let me know I am Game!! Thank You! God Bless!

  15. OMG, I would love to have my home crashed, we bought and older single home and have been trying to renovate it room by room which is taking forever and I am pregnant with my 3rd child which makes it even harder. Our house has everything original besides what we did to it and it’s over 50 years old, pink bathroom, horrid kitchen, the roof, the boiler, everything needs to be done… even our yard is horrible and it’s been one thing after the other.. The house has great potential which is why we bought it, just never realized it would take so long… Anyway, if you come to PA, I would love to apply! Hope the show takes off, can’t see why it wouldn’t I love these types of shows!

We live on the west coast and don’t have the means and all three of us have cancer and couldn’t do the work even if we wanted to. We’re actually wondering if it could be caused by somthing in the house. If on the west coast how do we enter?

    Thanks,

  19. My dad lives in a house with 5 girls and 1 very girly male dog. As if this isn’t bad enough, he doesn’t have a man cave to call his own. He’s stuck watching Project Runway and Hannah Montana on TV because he’s always outvoted. If you’re ever in New Jersey I’m sure Big Daddy (my dad’s nickname) would love the help.

  20. I bought 4.56 acres in beautiful West Jefferson, NC… but live in Florida. It has a small farmhouse on it that has been gutted by the previous owner.I would love to do something to help someone who has no where to live due to the economy, but I am just making the pmts on the second mtg I took out and can’t get it up to living standards. There should be a show that remodels/builds homes if the owner agrees to let someone live there rent free for a period of time. I am willing to help someone if you can help me to help them.

  21. We watch your programming all the time. We would like to open up a small room that is attached to the garage and make it a family room so our growing family can spend time together. We spend alot of time in our living room but it is just to small. Will house crashers ever come to the east coast. We would love someone to give us some ideas on how to do this project. The house is a split level so it is a little leary to attack since there are rooms upstairs. Help, it would be greatly appreciated.

  35. I have a 1970ish 4bedroom, formalsd, two baths, den and twocar gaqrage that needs crashing like you cannot imagine. I have been in the hospital 5 time since May 09. Last year I averaged being in the hospital every other month. I have a genetic immune disorder and I get infections on a regular basis. crashmily of four children and their friends have taken a tole on this house. Weather and age has has taken a tole on this house. I was hopeing to do some renovations this year after my last two went off to college. But education institutions and medical bills have swollowed up those funds not to mention the financial crisis we have been going through since the 08 crash.

If you come to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area,my home is yours for the taking and crashing.

Normally,I would not consider such an offer, but the original carpet is causing breathing problems for my adult disable daughter as well as myself. Both bathrooms need black moled removed. Also an irritant. The duck work needs to be cleaned from any irritants. I could go on and on…..

  38. Dear Josh, I am looking for help with my home, mainly my kitchen. I have lived in my home for 12.5 years with my 2 boys and husband. We have been too slowly gutting our kitchen over the last 4 years and now I just would really like to get’er done as I am at my wits end with the state it is currently in. My husband lacks the motivation to continue forth with this project and is reluctant to hire anyone to come and finish the job or even ask anyone to come and help him finish the job. And this is how it is for anything that needs to be done around our home that I so love. So I am turning to you and your show at the suggestion of my brother. I do watch DIY but just end up depressed and discouraged instead of encouraged. Our kitchen was poorly designed in the early 80’s. Now its just poorly. Half the floor is ripped up to the sub floor and has some holes which you can see through down to the basement, 3 years now. A new window and wall – as of date, the insulation around this window is still exposed and collecting pet hairs and other debris, 2 yrs now. 4 months ago he took out the entire ceiling to the subfloor of the second floor. And once again, the kitchen project came to a hault. I have a very old stove that only has 1 working burner. This stove badly needs replacing. I can not replace it with a new one because of the current state of our kitchen. I love my husband dearly, but he is making me insane. So please, if you could come Crash our Home, you would help save my sanity and my marriage. We live in Rochester New York and I think that is out of your radius but if you could so kindly consider coming to Rochester New York with your team – I would be truly grateful.

  40. First of all, I love the show. I find it very exciting and entertaining. Would you guys please come to Georgia to do our house. We have a three bedroom house that I would like to see done over for my wife. My Wife is a hard working Mother of three who deserves something good to happen for her. She really deserves a big event for all of devotion and love for her family and friends. She fantasizes about a beautiful home with hard wood floors and colorful painted walls constantly, but I can’t give her the things that she desires. Mainly because of my fixed income. We live near Vidalia, GA (The Sweet Onion City) and I am almost sure that you all have never visited this part of the country. Please come.

  43. I recently started watching “House Crashers”, love it,but I noticed that you always seem to choose very nice houses. I’m wondering why you never do a show that involves a house that “really” needs help? Do you actually turn down people that have houses that are old and in need of remodeling? Would it just be to hard to make a good episode remodeling a room in an old house?

    Posted by cindy | September 20, 2009, 2:13 am
  44. Cindy… I agree with you. This does seem to be a theme where the people’s homes that are chosen are nice and they can probably afford to do it themselves anyway. I am the person who wrote about the gutted farmhouse above and would love to HELP SOMEONE ELSE have somewhere to live. This is why I think they need a specific show that remodels the whole house. Maybe more people would be willing to help others if this was the case. I already have a home to live in but many don’t right now in these difficult times.

  45. I love the CRASHER shows and hope that some day you might come to Spring Hill, Florida. We moved into our home in May of 1981 and are now in desperate need of some major repairs. We have several holes in the roof and when it rains I have to place buckets in the living room to catch the rain water. Also in the family room rain water comes through the ceiling fan. There are 2 bed rooms with concrete as the floor covering because of two major water problems. My husband is 72 and fighting RA; we are living on a fixed income and have minimal money for everyday things. It will be next to impossible for us to come up with the money for these repairs. He has always been the one to fix everything and his ladder days are now over, so if you came to Spring Hill, Florida and chose us for your show we would be in your debt forever. You guys are great keep up the great job you are an inspiration.

In the midst of it I was hospitalized for a difficult pregnancy and after the baby, i got an infection and had to have open heart surgery. We are still trying to finish little things in the house, but the yard is a disaster. mud and weeds and not level. I would love to see what you could do with it. I think our neighbors hate us.

a realtor, and when the economy went down we stopped after digging
a basement and moved into our pole
barn. I’ve decided I would really
enjoy living here if we had more than 1 window and if we lived in more than 600 sq. feet. The barn would be 1700 sq.feet if finished.
We don’t think it would take long to finish but my husband doesn’t have the time. He is trying to stay busy making a living. And I would love to have christmas with my grand children in our house. This is the fourth year in 600 sq ft. I’m ready to pull my hair out!!Please help me!!!!

  52. Absolutely love yard crashers and now your new show house crashers. My sister could use house crashers in the Springfield, Ma. area. She has an old house and is not a diy person. Her kitchen, bathroom need your help. Now, for yard crashers my younger sister is looking for you in Bloomfield, Ct. She helps our legally blind mother with bill, a little diy, and groceries. She needs some help with her back yard. So, if you haven’t been to these areas you need to make it a MUST. It’s lovely country and would be much appreciated by my sisters. If your ever in Falls Church, Va. area by all means let me run into you. smile. Keep up the good work and stay on the air.

  56. My husband and I LOVE this show, as well as Yard Crashers. Our only complaint is there’s an awful lot of re-runs so all I can say is, MORE MORE MORE!! We want more “crash” shows – we’re getting so many ideas!

We don’t know if we can actually DO the renovations, (hiring a contractor to “help” you isn’t easy!) but we sure have fun imagining. Thanks for all the entertainment!

    Posted by Terri | November 11, 2009, 3:11 pm
  57. Please do more shows where they show and/or explain how to take on or take down a “load bearing wall.” There is next to no information on the internet about this and almost all sites say to contact your local contractor for more information. We are “HUGE” DIYERS and I know that we can do this ourselves! Just want some more info to guide us. Thank you for making such great shows, just stop all the repeats and give us more new shows!

This would be a huge surprise to my Director who gives her heart and soul to our community. If you could help pls contact me at my email and thank you in advance for your time.

By us being first time buyers we did not look closely at everything. the sockets are coming away from wall.first floor is slanted in kitchen and diningrom leading into den. floors need to be sanded. outside need to be repainted and wood replaced as w live in a historical district and everything must be wooden o outside and we tried to have cental air put in but, foud out it was a cheap furnace for a attic and we certainly could not afford that.to have a extra bedroom because the foster children that we have adopted are growing. 66. Dear Josh, I am looking for help with my home. I have lived in my home for 8 years when I was pressured to the buy this house at the Realtor that supposedly looking out of my best interest. Well everything they agree to in negotations after signing was voided. I called the real estate company and his stated well you bought it’s your house. I reported and which I couldn’t afford to pay for an attorney. I am single parent and have been between jobs within the year. The house has been infected with termites and now the house is so hollow I can hear everything. The state of mind I’m currently in is depressing and not sure what else to do. I can’t afford to remodel So I am turning to you and your show in desperation. I do watch DIY but just end up depressed and discouraged instead of encouraged. My kitchen was poorly designed, all the cabinets in bad conditions needs to be replaced. All the rooms are so small and fragile, need to have good insulation in the entire house and etc. You can feel the air from the windows and doors. So please, if you could come Crash our Home, you would help save my sanity and raising my beliefs any thing is this possible. I live in Shreveport, La and I think that is out of your radius but if you could so kindly consider coming to Shreveport,Louisiana with your team – I would be truly grateful
and know that prayers can be answered.

    Help Me,
    Shelia

  67. Hello Josh, If you ever need a 1887 country victorian house to crash, please come to Olde Town Arvada, CO to crash mine. We own our home and have lived here for 30 years. We bought the 1800 square foot house dirt cheap in 1979 because it was so delapitated and was ready to be scraped off. We have done wonderful strides to fix the house back to its former beauty keeping it original as it was when it was built. The interesting part of this house is that it has no foundation under the house. Way back when they built this house the builder dug down for the foundation, 18 inches and then just started laying soft clay brick on dirt. We have a small area that used to be the coal room with a coal shoot that has concreate but the rest of the basement is crawl space. I call this house my Alice in Wonderland house because you have to go through the bathroom to get to the upstairs bedroom or loft. It was always my wish that we could have a full basement.
As homeowners we would have to get rid of one of the front bedrooms so that one would have a staircase to go up to the 2nd level of the house or take stairs to the basement. My husband is a carpenter but he is so busy trying to make a living for our family that he has had little or no time to make a basement, however given the opportunity I feel he would be up to the challenge. Like the saying goes for the Shoemakers children; I am the last to get shoes. My husband is a master carpenter and craftsman. We have raised 5 children in this house with one bathroom. Three of our sons have gone on to join the Air Force and we still have two daughters at home. With having the last two girls growing up, ages 15 and 11, I am finding that one bathroom isn’t cutting it. We love living in a historic victorian house and the charm of living in Olde Town Arvada. We feel that we are only currators for this old masterpiece home and would love to keep her standing another 100 years. So in closing, if your up for a challenge and ready to roll up your sleeves on your shirt, head to wonderful, colorful Colorado.

    Regards,
    Heidi

  68. Josh,

We are truely impressed with your show and with you and how you have a big heart to help people out that need it the most. That is why I am writing on behalf of my father and my brother. They live in Fort Dodge Iowa and we lost our mom three years ago to emphaziema COPD. My dad is disabled do to 12 back surgeries and can’t work. My brother has MR (Mental Retardation,) and one year ago had a liver transplant, they are living in the oldest house on the block. The house is so old they get everyone waste sometimes in there basement. It was built in 1906. The Furnace is not electric it’s gas boiler. My family doesn’t have a lot of money and when you see the house you will agree it needs some help all the way down to the foundation. I just wished some how there was a way to prove to them that life isn’t always a struggle. The house is owned by my father and does not have a mortgage.
Please, if you are ever around the area, shoot me an e-mail and I can provide you all the contact information for his property. Thank you again!

  70. My husband (Don) got into high gear and installed my wall oven and cook top. At least my kitchen is now functional. Don hasn’t finished with the cabinets and the granite tile has not been layed. Then, we have the other side of the kitchen that hasn’t been touched. Don will be sanding the kitchen ceiling this coming Saturday. I will be helping him as much as possible. Hopefully, sometime in my lifetime, we will replace the floor covering in the house. The kitchen floor is horrible. We could still use House Crashers help in finishing this project. I work full time and Don is semi-retired but lately, his help has been required at the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority where he works on as needed basis. When he comes home, he is often too tired to do anything but rest. I know that feeling all too well. While I was off work for winter break, Don and I worked on the kitchen and I loved working with Don. We both are ready to get the kitchen finished but we just don’t have the time.

  71. I am buying my first home in the Los Angeles area (San Fernando Valley). It has an addition on the back and the garage has been converted to a studio apartment. The property is quite large (9100 sq ft) and both the house and yard need quite a lot of work. My fiance and I plan to do most of it ourselves, but we would love to be part of either Yard Crashers or House Crashers. Do either of these shows ever film in L.A.?

  73. You should strive to recycle more on your show! I think it is totally negligent of your network to have such disregaurd to the amount of construction waste that is created each year. Every time I watch “House Crashers”, I see them fill a dumpster with alot of stuff that could be recycled at a Habitat for Humanity restore, or other such place. Counters, sinks, cupboards, windows, doors…. Please try to be more aware, and help others to be so as well! Thank you.

  78. You will never find a home in more need of the DIY network- ANY show. Our kitchen is spread out between 2 rooms bc its run on 15 amp instead of 20…the entire house is done in panelling- WITH NO WALLS BEHIND IT!… bathrroms that have no tile or vinyl- they are both PAINTED…which means all the walls are peeling off! We are updating the house 1 room at a time starting with the 4 bedrooms- but its such a slow go. We have the money, but no talent or skill whatsoever. And there’s so much potential, under the cracking tiles are 2 or 3 tone wood flooring with designs laid in, so much space space space…in and out of the home (bc our yard is also big and repulsive).
I don’t know what the protocol is to get on a show- but I did submit an application along with like 20 very sad looking pix. But id love to run into josh from home crashers! Id probably be the first person who has the most open mind that also presents the biggest challenge. My house really seems to be alive with a thing against getting updated.

  87. We have been watching your show for a while now and enjoy every minute of it. We have been house shopping for the last six months, and have finally found a place. We also have a baby girl on the way. She is due October 2. The townhouse we are buying can use some work but this is something we have been looking for. But after all the costs of closing fees, and everything else that comes with buying a house, and a baby on the way we do not have the money to fix it up. We would love to have you in our new home, and wish that we could have our baby’s room ready for her when she comes to this new world. Thank you for all the enjoyment your show has brought to us.

    Sincerely
    Josh & Casy

I want a landscaper & he wants a Man CAVE. (Currently it only has a dehumidifier, a fan, & a light. It is his storage room for all of his boat & BBQ cooking supplies.)

  91. Hello Josh,
If you are ever in South Louisiana way south like the Galliano area I would love for you to look us up. After Katrina& Rita I hired someone who just got into the building business & believe me it was a night mare. The wires were done half way the floors well could have been better not to mention I also had my house raised which now it is not leveled. I had this done all while I was a single mom & did not know anything lets just say I was taking advantage of. The best investment were my windows that was with window world they did an amazing job wish the rest would have been.So if ever your in my area of the bayou I would like your in put. Thanks & god bless,
