It’s all good stuff – the main points are:

1. Be as original as you can with your idea
2. Don’t be afraid of getting your ideas out there
3. Know your idea inside out and have your facts straight (in other words, don’t bullshit)
4. Don’t worry too much about how to pitch – if you are passionate and believe in your idea the pitch will take care of itself
5. Treat the pitch as a dialogue – have a conversation with the commissioner and let them contribute.
